Frequently asked questions.

How do I secure my wedding date with you?

After getting in touch with me to confirm whether I am available on your wedding date, then I ask to take a deposit of £50 to hold and secure your date. This deposit is non-refundable should the booking be cancelled, but will otherwise of course be deducted from your wedding day balance.

How long in advance do you recommend a trial session?

I generally recommend between 6-12 weeks prior to your wedding date. This is so that all of your main decisions such as venue, dress and flowers etc have been made, and that we can then create a look and style to suit these. Also your hair shall be a similar length to how it will be on the day, and your skin tone too (some brides may be more tanned if it is summer for example.)

Where will the trial session take place?

I shall generally always come to you for your trial session. I don't take bookings at my own home, and it is more comfortable for you to be in your own surroundings with perhaps your bridal party there too.

Do you charge for travel?

I do not charge for travel within a 15 mile radius of my home in Horsham. Outside of that I will generally charge 45p per mile. Do get in touch and I can give you a personal quote for this if needed, as there will sometimes be variations.

Is there a minimum required amount for a wedding booking?

During the height of summer season I do have a minimum booking of the Bride plus 2/3 guests/bridesmaids for a Saturday wedding.

Can you bring an assistant for large bookings and is there a charge for this?

Yes I can absolutely arrange to bring an assistant to help with large bookings. There is an additional £100 assistant fee for this.

Will you travel abroad for weddings?

Yes I am very happy to travel abroad for your wedding. I have worked in the South of France and Poland before, so please do get in touch with your details and we can discuss this further.

Can you come back later in the day on my wedding to do touch-ups or change my look for the reception?

Absolutely I do offer this service and would be happy to discuss changing your hairstyle or adding more sparkle to your makeup for the evening reception. Do let me know your requirements and I can give you a quote for this.

When are the trial and final balance payments due?

The payment for the trial session will be due on the day of the trial. This can be paid in cash or via bank transfer. The final balance for the wedding day (minus the £50 deposit) is due by the day before the wedding via bank transfer, or via cash on the wedding day morning.
